WH Smith

Leo Quinn joins as executive chairman, starting April 7, subject to shareholder approval. He was previously group chief executive of Balfour Beatty.

Annette Court will step down as chair and non-executive director on February 2. Simon Emeny, senior independent director, will act as interim non-executive chairman until Quinn’s start date.

Collective Book Studio

Rebekah Lovato Piatte will join as children’s editorial director. She was previously at Klutz Press and Insight Editions, and worked as an independent contractor.

Andrea Colvin Creative Agency

Andrea Colvin has created a literary agency specializing in children’s books. Colvin previously founded Little, Brown Ink and was editor in chief at Lion Forge.

“After spending three decades helping shape books from the editorial side, I’m excited to advocate for creators for the full lengths of their careers,” Colvin said. “I bring an editor’s eye to agenting—helping my clients refine their vision while leveraging my deep knowledge of both big five publishers and independent presses to find the perfect home for each project.”
