Macmillan   

Will Schwalbe will retire from his role as publisher-at-large effective January 31 to concentrate full-time on writing books. He will continue working with Macmillan as an advisor.

Macmillan ceo Jon Yaged writes, “In addition to his editorial leadership, Will has consistently brought an entrepreneurial and forward-looking perspective to Macmillan. From developing publishing initiatives like our esteemed Author Care program to contributing his editorial and creative insight as part of our AI & Tech Innovation Steering Committee, he has helped us stay grounded in our core values and commitment to authors and readers.”

Sarah High joins as senior key account sales manager moving over from the Ingram Publisher Services marketing team.

Raquel Thorne will join as an acquisitions editor on February 2.

American Booksellers Association   

Donya Craddock, co-owner of The Dock Bookshop in Texas, as been appointed to the board to fill a vacant seat. Craddock is up for election for the 2026-2029 term, along with John Cavalier, co-owner of Cavalier House Books in Louisiana.
