Financial disclosure forms for Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. reflect that the nominee for HHS Secretary has a consulting deal with Skyhorse “regarding seeking and advising on books to be published,” which was entered in 2022.  The publisher paid him $451,000 for “consulting fees for author introductions, book ideas and forewords to other authors’ works & bonus.” The filing notes that, if confirmed as secretary, Kennedy will terminate the agreement.

The forms also note that, in 2024, Kennedy signed a contract for three new books with Skyhorse, two of which have been “completed.” UNSETTLED SCIENCE and A DEFENSE OF ISRAEL are each given a “value” of $1 million to $5 million, with a note that at least some advance is owed. A third book, AMERICA’S PATH BACK TO MORAL LEADERSHIP, is set for publication in March and given a value of $1,000 to $15,000. “I will not engage in writing, editing, marketing or promotional services for any of these books during government service,” he states.

Under spouse’s assets, his wife Cheryl Hines received a $600,000 advance from Skyhorse for her memoir MY SHADE OF CRAZY, due to publish in July.
