Adam Zacharius has been named president, succeeding his father, Steven Zacharius, who will remain as chairman and ceo.

Kim Dayman has joined as director of backlist, and reporting to Sally Kim. Dayman was previously executive director of marketing & publicity at Schiffer Publishing and previously held marketing roles at Random House, Harper Collins, Chronicle, and DoSomething.org.

VP, publisher of Forge Books Linda Quinton retired on January 5.

Bond Literary Agency and Copps Literary Services have merged to form Confluence Literary Agency, representing commercial fiction, literary fiction, and nonfiction for children and adults. Founders Sandra Bond, Elizabeth Copps, and Becky LeJeune will serve as principals.

Joining as agents are Nicole Payne, who was previously at CLS, and Rose Conway, who was previously at Foreword Literary Consulting.
