Scholastic   

Haji Glover returns to Scholastic as chief financial officer, effective January 22. He was previously at Amazon where he led the finance organization supporting the People Experience and Technology division. Prior to that, he was svp of corporate finance at Scholastic from 2020 to 2022.

Peter Warwick, president and chief executive officer, said, “After completing a robust search process, we are pleased to appoint Haji Glover as Scholastic’s next CFO and key partner to me and the leadership team as we realize this company’s substantial long-term growth opportunity. Haji’s broad experience and proven track-record as a forward-looking, growth-oriented finance leader will be instrumental in driving growth and financial performance.”

Chris Bauerle has joined in the newly created position of vice president, general manager, books and consumer products. Most recently, he was evp of sales and marketing at Insights Editions.

Michelle Giuseffi has bee promoted to associate director, publishing.

Anahita Padmanabhan is promoted to manager, social media marketing.

Juliana Lauletta has been promoted to vp of operations.

Rachael Small has been promoted to director of publicity.

Nancy Seitz has been promoted to managing editor.

Alexis Nowicki has been promoted to senior publicist, Astra House and DAW.

Deborah Ghim has been promoted to senior editor, Astra House.

Chelsea Abdullah has been promoted to assistant marketing and publicity manager, Astra Books for Young Readers.

Rola Harb has been promoted to associate editor, Astra House.

Millie von Platen has been promoted to assistant editor, Astra Young Readers.

Stella Iselin has been promoted to senior contracts manager.

Albert Prendiz has been promoted to accounts payable manager.

Elise McMullen-Ciotti has been promoted to senior editor.
Stephanie Frescas Macías has been promoted to assistant editor.
Shaughnessy Miller has been promoted to assistant marketing manager.
Jennifer Khawam has been promoted to marketing coordinator.

Clare Bullock will join on February 19 as editorial director, reporting to managing director Pete Duncan. She is currently senior commissioning editor at Icon Books.

Hannah Boardman has been promoted to associate publicist.

PA Press   

Allison Serrell has joined as senior editor. She was most recently senior editor at Wonderwell Press.

Caroline Marsiglia has been promoted to agent.

Trident Media Group   

Audrey Crooks has been promoted to literary agent.

ArtHouse Literary Agency   

Miriam Cortinovis has been promoted to associate agent.

Thornton Wilder Estate   

Jeremy McCarter has been named literary executor of Thornton Wilder’s collection of plays, fiction, music, nonfiction works, and archival holdings. McCarter is the first person not from the Wilder family to hold the position. He is the co-author, with Lin-Manuel Miranda, of HAMILTON: THE REVOLUTION and IN THE HEIGHTS: FINDING HOME (also with Quiara Alegría Hudes), among other books, and also founded story-telling company the Make-Believe Association. He succeeds Tappan Wilder, who held the position for 28 years.
