Team leader of classics at S. Fischer Verlag Sebastian Guggolz has been named chair of the German publishers association. Guggolz succeeds Karin Schmidt-Friderichs, who served two three-year terms.

ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom director Deborah Caldwell-Stone has been let go from the organization as part of job eliminations designed to cut costs, Words and Money reports. Deputy director Sarah Lamdan will lead the office.
