Quirk Books   

Jhanteigh Kupihea has resigned as president and publisher and will leave the company on December 31. She is taking a sabbatical from publishing. Kupihea joined the company as editorial director in 2018 and was promoted to president earlier this year.

Founder and chairman David Borgenicht returns to his role as president effective immediately and serves as interim publisher.

Abrams   

Melissa Orilia has been named chief financial officer, starting November 18, reporting to president and ceo Mary McAveney. She will oversee finance, IT, and data operations, and “spearhead Abrams’ financial transformation initiatives and growth strategy, leveraging her extensive experience in building scalable financial infrastructures.”

She was controller at GroupM, and prior to that was controller at Cohn & Wolfe.

HarperCollins   

Kerry Moynagh has been promoted to vice president, Usborne sales.

Canary Street Press and Graydon House   

Cat Clyne has been promoted to senior editor.

Scholastic   

Jody Corbett has been promoted to executive editor.

Maya Marlette has been promoted to senior editor.

Anjali Bisaria has been promoted to assistant editor.

Annie Krege has been promoted to sales coordinator, national accounts.

Jennifer Rivera has been promoted to library/ed sales coordinator.

Melanie Wann has been promoted to associate manager trade sales.

Abby McAden has been promoted to associate publisher and senior director.

Renée Levy has been promoted to advertising analyst.

Zoe Kelley has been promoted to marketing coordinator.

Sydney Niegos has been promoted to associate marketing manager, middle grade.

Matt Poulter has been promoted to associate director, Graphix marketing.

Victoria Velez has been promoted to associate publicist.

Chronicle Books   

Annabelle Oh has been promoted to associate director, trade sales, where she will oversee US independent trade sales and the educational and library sales teams.

Stacy Wayne Durham joins as Pacific Northwest trade sales rep. He was previously a buyer and bookseller at Powell’s Books.

Olivia Monical has been promoted to trade sales coordinator.

Berkley   

Ariana Abad has joined as a publicist.

Cambridge University Press   

Michael Baron has been promoted to deputy head of sales, Americas and will oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the North American retail program and manage the press’s Amazon US/Canada relationship.

Alex Beguin has been promoted to sales manager, managing relationships with college bookstores and working to expand Bibles sales.

FMcM   

At the UK books pr agency, Annabel Robinson rejoins the company as communications director, working on strategic campaign direction, business development, and client management. She was joint publicity director at Bloomsbury UK on maternity cover.

Ned Green is promoted to communications manager.
Harper's Magazine   
Christine Smallwood has joined as a senior editor, overseeing cultural criticism and fiction. She will also edit the New Books column, which she wrote from 2014 to 2017.
Phaidon   

Elizabeth Keene has joined as senior editor at Monacelli. Keene was previously associate editorial director at Thames & Hudson in New York.
