Hachette Book Group   

Carrie Bloxson has been named chief human resources officer, replacing SVP, human resources Andrea Weinzimer, who is leaving at the end of the year. Bloxson will “lead and amplify talent development, recruitment, retention, training, office culture, business processes, and more.” She has been svp of culture and diversity, equity, and inclusion, and will continue to lead the social impact program “Changing the Story.” Bloxson will serve on the executive management boards of both HBG and Hachette UK.

Dialogue   

Following the news that founder and publisher Sharmaine Lovegrove is moving to a new part-time position at Hachette UK, the Dialogue division will see its two imprints become part of John Murray Press, the Bookseller reports.

Dialogue editorial director Hannah Chukwu and Renegade publisher Christina Demosthenous will continue in their positions. Hachette UK says “there will be no diminution in ambition, prioritization or support for the Dialogue team or authors”

Evermore   

In the UK, Cornerstone will launch a new imprint in February focused on young romance readers, which they say will be “driven by data, retailer opportunities, and the insatiable appetite of romance readers” as well as “blending community, commerce and entertainment.”

Century publishing director Claire Simmonds will oversee the new line. They expect to publish 12 titles in 2025.

Random House Publishing Group   

Cara Jimenez joins as associate project manager.

Martin Literary Management   

Alicia Brooks has joined as a senior literary manager. She was previously a literary agent at The Jean V. Naggar Literary Agency.

The Blair Partnership   

Ed Wood joins as fiction agent and director of fiction development. He was previously fiction publishing director for brands and creative partnerships at Sphere and Little, Brown IP director.
