People 2/2

February 2, 2026By Katy Hershberger

Scribner

Colin Harrison, vice president and editorial director of Scribner, has resigned. Harrison joined Scribner in 2001. His last day will be February 13. Harrison is also the author of eight suspense novels, and his memoir about his pear orchard on the North Fork will be published by Viking in 2027.

Marysue Rucci, vice president, publisher of Scribner, writes, “I know I am among the many who will miss Colin’s unflagging good cheer and dry humor, his deep wisdom and collegiality, and his consummate graciousness.”

Peter Attia

The longevity expert and bestselling author of Outlive had a lengthy personal and professional relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, evidenced by the recent release of documents, in which emails contain well over 1,800 references to Attia. Many of Attia’s emails to Epstein were crude or disturbing in subject matter. (One example, from an email in 2015, with the subject line “Got a fresh shipment”: “You [know] the biggest problem with becoming friends with you? The life you lead is so outrageous, and yet I can’t tell a soul….”)

CBS News named Attia a contributor less than a week ago, and is now expected to terminate that plan.

Neil deGrasse Tyson

The author will move from Holt (and Norton before that) to Jonathan Karp’s new Simon Six imprint, Karp announced on Instagram, for TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER: Perspectives On Your First Alien Encounter.

Bookwire

Andrew Weinstein becomes US country manager as of February 2. He was previously vice president of content at Scribd.

Weinstein succeeds Brittyne Lewis, who will transition to a sales position, “enabling her to be more closely involved with key customers.”

Little, Brown Ink

Rachel Stark will join as senior editor on February 4. They were most recently at Disney-Hyperion.

David Black Agency

Abby Walters will join the agency, focusing on upmarket/book club and literary fiction. She was previously at CAA.

Fortier PR

Felicia Sinusas has joined as assistant publicity director. She was previously at Harvard Business Review Press.

Red Sage Studios

Former head of Amazon MGM Studios International James Farrell announced the name and first slate from his production company, which focuses on YA features. Red Sage, which is represented by CAA, will target “IP with passionate, built-in fanbases across both traditional publishing and prominent digital platforms like Wattpad Webtoon. Many of the stories in development span multiple books, allowing for long-term, multi-film storytelling and sustained creative partnerships with authors and filmmakers,” Deadline reports.

The company has acquired rights to Danielle L. Jensen’s The Bridge Kingdom, Jessica Cunsolo’s She’s With Me, and Leeanne M. Krecic’s Let’s Play.
