Alessandra Bastagli joins next week as vp and publisher. Bastagli has been editorial director at Astra House. She succeeds founding publisher Julia Cheiffetz, who left in January.

Maya Ziv has been promoted to vp, editorial director of Dutton.

Setareh Saidi has been promoted to senior analyst, consumer insights.

Yasmin McDonald has joined CAA as an agent in the books department, based in London. She was previously at United Agents.

Anita Chong has been promoted to editorial director – fiction, for McClelland & Stewart.

The show will honor YoungSuk (YS) Chi, chair of Elsevier and new chair of the Association of American Publishers.
