Brand management company Foundation Media Partners has partnered with Macmillan on a multi-year publishing deal for Foundation Books. Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group president and publisher Jen Besser and Foundation Media Partners founder and ceo Patrick Hughes, will lead the venture, which will “focus on titles that have strong cinematic roots” and partner on film & TV adaptations. Variety writes that the company will work to introduce “creator/writer friendly model designed to give authors more power throughout the film and television development process.”

Foundation signed a first-look deal with Simon & Schuster Children’s last September to develop film and TV projects based on their titles.

Crisandry Javier has been promoted to senior analyst.

Jessica Rios is joining The Robbins Office and Susanna Lea Associates as head of operations, reporting to both Kathy Robbins and Susanna Lea. Rios was most recently a business affairs executive at United Talent Agency.
