Random House   

EVP, associate publisher, and executive editorial director Kate Medina will retire at the end of June. She joined the imprint in 1985 (after starting her career as an editorial assistant at Doubleday) and has edited books by authors including Michael Chabon, Emma Cline, Tressie McMillan Cottom, E. L. Doctorow, Yiyun Li, Jon Meacham, Sandra Day O’Connor, Anna Quindlen, Gloria Steinem, Alice Walker, and Isabel Wilkerson.

“Kate’s books are built to last,” EVP, publisher Andy Ward said. “Her keen eye for talent, her endless, roving curiosity, her superhuman capacity for work, her deep respect for readers, and her abiding love for—and unwavering support of—her authors have been a shining example of how an editor should go about the job.”

New World Library   

Editorial director Georgia Hughes is retiring after 26 years. Jason Gardner will succeed her as editorial director.

Noelle Armstrong has joined as acquisitions editor and will report to Gardner.

Macmillan   

Katharina (Kathi) Gadow has joined as national accounts manager.

Alison Gervais has joined the production team as associate director, custom publications.

Andrew Jacobs has joined as associate general counsel.

Christine Marra joined as Associate director, production editorial.

Ryan Munson recently joined as svp, finance operations.

Holt   
Catryn Silbersack has been promoted to publicity manager.
Entangled   

Erin Lowrey has joined as experiential marketing director. Lowrey was previously events and experiential lead at Apple.

Holiday House and Peachtree   

Melanie McMahon Ives has been promoted to production director.
