Aragi   

Literary agent with Aragi Frances Coady is retiring. The company writes:

After over four decades in publishing on both sides of the Atlantic, and eleven years as an agent with Aragi, Frances Coady is retiring. An Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, she was the founding publisher of Vintage UK, and relaunched Granta Books before moving to America where she expanded Picador as a paperback house, and published Frances Coady Books. Before joining Aragi she created Atavist Books. “The last forty-three years have been amazing thanks to the many wonderful authors who I have had the privilege to work with.” From her earliest days at Faber to her time at Aragi — those writers include   – Lorrie Moore, Alan Bennett, Edward W Said, Deborah Levy, Jeanette Winterson, Naomi Klein, Michael Cunningham, Claudia Rankine, Ocean Vuong, Rebecca Solnit and many others.

Abby Nutter is promoted to executive editor, content acquisitions.

Leah Jackson is promoted to senior editor, content acquisitions.

Carly Quinn is promoted to editor, content acquisitions.

Desiree Johnson has been promoted to associate editor, Listening Library.

Una James is promoted to associate, licensing & business development.

Penguin Press   

Victoria Laboz has been promoted to assistant editor.

Yale University Press   

Publicity director Brenda King will retire at the end of April, after 30 years with the Press. 

Senior publicist Robert Pranzatelli will retire at the end of April, after 23 years with the Press.

Jennifer Doerr has been promoted to publicity director.

Amanda Cordero has been promoted to senior publicist.

Park, Fine & Brower Literary Management   

Abby Zidle has joined as creative development manager. She was most recently an executive editor at Gallery.

Olivia Malesco joins as international rights manager. Previously, she was associate rights manager at Amazon Publishing.

CLMP   

Gracie Rittenberg has joined as membership senior manager. She was previously at Ann Rittenberg Literary Agency.

Daniela Schlingmann Literary Scouting   

DSLS is now scouting for Giunti and Bompiani in the UK and US markets, and key international markets.

Alanna Feldman Scouting   

Alanna Feldman Scouting has been appointed US. Scout for Bastei Lübbe in Germany. The firm will be scouting for Lübbe’s children’s/YA, adult fiction, and adult non-fiction divisions.
