Simon & Schuster   

Allen Lindstrom has been named executive vice president, chief financial officer, starting April 22. He will also join Simon & Schuster’s executive committee. He has been CFO at Barnes & Noble for the past 11 years.

President and ceo Jonathan Karp said in the announcement, “Allen is an experienced manager with a keen financial mind and a collaborative spirit. As Simon & Schuster grows, Allen will work alongside Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer Dennis Eulau and me to determine the best ways to invest in our company, control costs, and analyze acquisition prospects. We will benefit from his vast understanding of bookselling and the book business.”

Harper One   

Nina Shield will join as vp, editorial director, starting April 22. She was most recently executive editor at Tarcher Perigee and Avery.

The New Press   

Longtime publisher Ellen Adler told staff she will leave the publisher at the end of September, after 21 years at the press.

Interlink Publishing Group   

Hannah Moushabeck has joined in a newly created role handling marketing, publicity, and special projects. She was previously independent retail marketing manager at Simon & Schuster.

Scholastic Trade   

Jenna German has joined as junior designer.

Transatlantic Agency   

Jo Ramsay joins as literary agent representing adult fiction and nonfiction, Ramsay was previously literary assistant to Carly Watters at P.S. Literary Agency.

Random House Children's   

Lizzy Indek has joined as production associate. She was most recently projects associate at the Museum of the City of New York.

Andrews McMeel Publishing   

Amanda Meadows has joined as editor. She was previously at Oni-Lion Forge and co-founder of The Devastator.
