Simon & Schuster   

Wibke Grutjen will join as senior vice president, global chief marketing and communications officer on August 5, reporting to president and ceo Jonathan Karp. She will also be a member of the publisher’s executive committee. Grutjen has been chief marketing officer at Hachette Book Group.

Quarto   

Martha Bucci will join on July 1 as SVP of sales and marketing for the US, reporting to CEO Alison Goff. Bucci was previously at Hachette Book Group, leading the chain sales and mass channel sales divisions.

Little, Brown   

Gabriella Mongelli will join as senior editor on July 8, reporting to Sally Kim. Mongelli was previously at Park Row Books.

Sourcebooks   

Ariel Curry has joined as senior editor, nonfiction.

Kelly Lawler has been promoted to senior creative director, adult and YA.

Olivia Haase has been promoted to assistant publishing coordinator, children’s fiction and nonfiction.

Harper Collins   

Gillian Wise has been promoted to director, special markets sales and specialty publishing.

Michelle Ramos has been promoted to project manager, special markets.

Emma Tomko has been promoted to sales manager, educational sales.

Nicole Pingelton, senior manager, special markets, will now sell into the gift and specialty retail and wholesale channel, handling sales and relationships with our gift rep groups and specialty wholesalers.

Karlee Stephney has been promoted to senior sales associate, special markets.

Cooke McDermid   

Amy Moore-Benson has joined as an agent. She was formerly at Meridian Artists.

Midas   

George Walkley takes over as non-executive chair at Midas, the UK pr agency, as George Lossius retires June 30 after 10 years. Now a consultant, Walkley was at Hachette UK for 15 years, where he was group digital and development director.
