Lauren Appleton has been promoted to executive editor.

Jacob Surpin has moved over as senior editor. Surpin was previously at Tarcher Perigee.

Sourcebooks   

VP of mass market sales Brian Grogan retired on May 31. Grogan joined Sourcebooks in 2021 after his first retirement, having spent nearly 20 years as SVP of sales at Harper Collins. CEO and publisher Dominique Raccah said, “I will be ever grateful for Brian’s commitment to Sourcebooks. In just a few years, he has left an indelible imprint on our company. His leadership and sales strategies have been instrumental in the growth we’ve experienced in recent years. He’s been an incredible colleague, and a steadfast champion for our books and authors.”

Raquel Latko has been promoted to associate director of sales, mass merch adult, managing sales and distribution strategy for adult titles into Readerlink accounts. Jess Elliot has been promoted to associate director of sales, mass merch kids, managing sales and distribution strategy for kids and YA titles into Readerlink accounts. Christina Noriega has been promoted to director of special markets and gift sales and will prioritize new business opportunities.

Huey Wells has been rehired as data associate.

Emma Baietto has been promoted to digital services specialist.

Harlow Brightheart has been promoted to senior associate, digital services.

Kevin Anderson & Associates   

Heather Schroder has joined as director of talent, vp, managing and growing KAA’s network of writers. Her agency, Compass Literary, will continue to operate as its own entity.

Berla & Griffini Rights Agency   

Vanessa Maus has been promoted to partner.
