Publishing reporter Jeffrey Trachtenberg retired on June 5 after 37 years at the paper.

PFD   

Former longtime ceo of Simon & Schuster UK Ian Chapman has been named chair of the agency.

CEO Caroline Michel says in the announcement: “PFD feels immensely lucky and privileged to have Ian step into the chairmanship role. Ian has always been one of the most forward looking publishers and to bring his wisdom and eye into the agenting world is immensely exciting. We have great plans at PFD for the future of the agency and the enhancement of our offering to authors, and Ian is joining us at a moment of step change with great opportunities as well as challenges. We could not be more thrilled to be heading into the future with Ian as chair at our helm.”

Sam Schauer has joined as design production manager.

Adriana Yochelson has joined as associate manager, international marketing & publicity.

Sonja Meigs has joined as key account fulfillment representative.

Jennifer Eschrich has joined as senior director, audio acquisitions.

Christine Witek has joined as accounts receivable accountant.

Darrin Creamer has joined as information security officer.

Putnam   

Nicole Biton is promoted to publicity manager.

Maggie Leone is promoted to associate publicist.

Molly Donovan is promoted to assistant editor.

Bloomsbury Academic   

Andrew Lee is joining  as senior marketing manager. Lee was previously at Sage.

Annie Lee has been promoted to marketing manager.

Emi Herman has been promoted to associate marketing manager.

 

Art Omi   

Erin Edmison has been named director of the writers residency in Ghent, NY (the residency program previously known as Ledig House). She will also continue her role at Edmison/Harper Literary Scouting.

Simon & Schuster UK   

Yasmin Morrissey has been promoted to publishing director, new business, IP and brands.
