Barnes & Noble   

Annette Danek-Akey will join as chief supply chain officer. She has been EVP, chief supply chain officer at Penguin Random House.

Penguin Random House US   

Jeff Abraham is promoted to Chief Operating Officer, adding oversight of fulfillment to his portfolio following the departure of Annette Danek-Akey, alongside publishing operations, IT, bookmaking, strategic projects, Zeitgeist, and Penguin Random House Publisher Services.

Alison Martin is promoted to SVP, customer solutions, logistics & strategy. SVP of global transportation and logistics Tracey Presley will now report to Martin. Additionally, VP, Penguin Random House EU fulfillment Simon Goldstein will report to her “as part of the new strategic initiative for the Grantham facility to service the U.S. business in continental Europe.”

Alyssa Oles is promoted to SVP, distribution, engineering & systems, managing distribution operations. SVP, distribution and returns operations Lori De Reza will now report to her.

Penguin Random House Audio   

Brady Emerson and Iris McElroy have been promoted to executive producer.

Minotaur   

In September, Kristin Sevick will move over to join as executive editor. She has been at Tor/Forge for 18 years, and will bring “a selection of her frontlist and backlist titles to Minotaur Books,” as well as acquire new titles.

Amistad, HarperCollins Español, and HarperVia   

Gretchen Schmid joins the marketing team as marketing manager. She was previously in editorial.

Laura Gonzalez has been promoted to senior marketing associate.

Sourcebooks   

Rebecca Johnson has joined as senior director of human resources.

Timothy Foszcz has joined as sales associate.

Benjamin Sherrard has joined as developer.

Liz Gately Book Scouting   

Beginning August 8, the company will scout for Harper UK.

Wave Literary   

Rachel Neumann has officially announced Wave Literary, started earlier this year, focused on narrative nonfiction and select fiction and children’s projects. Neumann was previously ceo and agent at Idea Architects.

Jungwon Kim serves as director of author strategy, and authors Clarence Haynes and Neesha Dosanjh are literary coaches. Wave will work with WME for film and tv rights, Abner Stein for UK rights, and Marsh Agency for translation.

FinePrint Literary Management   

Bonnie Swanson has joined FinePrint Literary Management. She was formerly at The Purcell Agency.

Macmillan Children's UK   

Alison Ruane has been promoted to managing director. She was communications director.
