Brockman   

Bonnie Solow at Solow Literary Enterprises will now represent new business through Brockman. Solow Literary Enterprises will continue to operate in service of existing deals.

“The advantages of this arrangement are clear,” said Brockman ceo Max Brockman. “With a shared focus on exceptional representation, our team will bring its full resources to bear, supporting Bonnie with foreign and subsidiary rights, contracts, and finance—freeing her up to work even more closely with her clients on editorial development and throughout every stage of the publishing process.”

Random House Children's   

Irene Vandervoort has joined as senior designer, art/design. She was previously a freelance art director at Aladdin.

Alice Moye-Honeyman, has been promoted to designer, art/design.

Ali Romig, has been promoted to editor, Delacorte.

Simon & Schuster   

Vanessa Ioannidi has been promoted to sales manager, special markets.

Penguin Random House   

Erica Ferguson joins as production editor on the Zeitgeist team. Ferguson previously worked as a temporary production editor at Zeitgeist.

Berrett-Koehler Publishers   

Editorial director Neal Maillet will retire on July 31 after 16 years with the company.

Haven Iverson will join as senior editor on July 30. She previously served as editorial director at Sounds True.

Agate Publishing   

Agate Publishing has acquired a book by Kathleen Schmidt, publicist and the writer of the Publishing Confidential newsletter. The book, to be published in 2028, “will offer an insider’s look at how the publishing industry operates, paired with practical marketing and publicity guidance that authors can act on at every stage of their careers.”

Additionally, Schmidt has partnered with Agate to integrate her live, small-group class, Publishing Confidential Cohort, into the Agate Publishing Academy’s course offerings starting in 2027. The course will be tentatively retitled as “Publicity for Authors.”
