Kim Shannon will join as senior vice president, sales on September 3, reporting to EVP, COO Dennis Eulau. According to the release, “she will be responsible for sales in all channels including national accounts, digital and online sales, independents, mass merchants, wholesalers, special markets, and educational sales.” Shannon was previously executive vice president, adult retail & education sales and director of sales strategy, Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group.

Adina Popescu has been promoted to executive editor.

Christine Gillespie joins as svp and publisher, reporting to ceo David Steinberger, overseeing their publishing catalog, co-publishing partnerships, and initiatives in audio publishing and licensing. Mara Anastas takes the new role of vp – special projects, reporting to Steinberger.

Bridget Lafferty is promoted to chief of staff.

Christine Perry has joined as an associate agent. She was previously a senior scout at Barbara Tolley and Associates.

Jason Tyrrell will lead a newly-formed Content Group as executive vice president. He has been general manager of Kanopy, Overdrive’s video streaming service. Alexis Petric-Black has been promoted to vp, Content. Erica Lazzaro takes an expanded role as evp & general counsel, with added responsibility for the company’s portfolio of intellectual property.

Founders Michel and Ruth Moushabeck have transferred ownership of the company to their three daughters Leyla, Hannah, and Maha, and son-in-law Harrison Williams.

Beginning October 1, 2024, the publisher will use Ingram UK for distribution in the UK and all territories outside of North America.
