Sourcebooks   

Valerie Pierce is being promoted to vp, Independent Sales and Retail Marketing, leading the publisher’s in-house sales team serving independent bookstores that was created in January.

SVP Sales Paula Amendolara notes, “Valerie laid the groundwork for how Sourcebooks partners with independent bookstores. She understands the individuality of each store, builds strong relationships with owners and frontline booksellers, and turns that knowledge into meaningful action. With Valerie in this role, we’re better positioned than ever to support the work of indie booksellers and the readers they serve.”

Random House Christian Publishing Group   

Olivia Peitsch will join as assistant director of marketing on July 14, reporting to vp, director of marketing Ginia Hairston Croker. Peitsch was previously at Baker Publishing Group.

Emily Loper will join as marketing designer on July 14, reporting to creative director Kristopher Orr. Loper was previously at Lifeway Christian Resources.

Regal Hoffmann & Associates   

Paul Lucas has joined the agency. He was previously at Janklow & Nesbit.

Berkley   

Mary Baker and Candice Coote have been promoted to associate editor.

Union Square & Co.   

Michael Coulter has been promoted to editor.

Penguin Random House Canada   

David Ross has been promoted to editorial director at Hamish Hamilton Canada.

Meredith Pal has been promoted to publishing manager at Penguin Canada.

Adria Iwasutiak has been named associate publisher of Penguin Canada.

Nick Garrison becomes publishing director at Allen Lane Canada.

Franklin & Siegal Associates   

President Todd R. Siegal will retire at the end of 2025 after 39 years in book scouting.

Danny Yanez will take over as president on January 1 and the agency will be renamed Franklin Siegal & Yanez.
