VP, controller Roy Fagan will retire at the end of the year. He has been in the finance department for 29 years.

Veronique Dubois will join on July 13 in the new position of deputy cfo, reporting to cfo Stephen Mubarek. She is currently senior vp of finance at Paradies Lagardere.

“I wish Roy the very best in his retirement and commend him on his excellent work as part of HBG’s finance department. I’m grateful that he will remain with us through the end of the year and thank him for his outstanding service. I’m delighted to welcome Veronique to the team, and I look forward to working with her as we lead the team into the future,” Mubarek said.

Senior vice president, publishing services Josh Weiss will retire on July 31. He has been at Abrams since 2023.

“Through strong leadership, practical problem-solving, and deep expertise, Josh has made a lasting contribution across Abrams,” the company stated.

Mark Galarrita has joined as senior publishing manager. He was previously publishing and marketing manager at Scribner.

Darelyanel Medina has been promoted to marketing coordinator.

Laura Fitzgerald has been promoted to associate publisher at DAW.

Frankie DiGiovanni has been promoted to senior graphic designer.

Tara Sharma has been promoted to editor.

Madeline Goldberg has been promoted to associate editor at DAW.

Grace Brown has joined DAW as junior designer.

Sophie Sheumaker has been promoted to associate literary agent.
