Carl Hixson will start as chief information officer on September 14, reporting to group chief information officer Brendan Goss. He was previously chief technology officer at media group SRMG.
Hixson replaces svp chief information officer Puneet Kukkal, who will leave the company on September 11.

Cleve Corner and Mike Giarratano have launched a new publicity firm. Corner was previously a media producer at C-SPAN’s BookTV and event director at Enoch Pratt Free Library; Giarratano was previously in publicity at Harvard University Press and Hachette.
