Atria director of backlist and special projects Suzanne Donahue will retire on August 31.

“I couldn’t possibly list all the areas in which Suzanne has offered her expertise over the years, but I do know we will desperately miss her,” evp, director of adult U.S. content coordination Libby Maguire wrote in a memo to staff. “Whether to ask advice, share a laugh, or solve the mystery about that book we published ten years ago, I know her name will be mentioned in these halls often for years to come.”

Director of communications Pamela MacColl will retire at the end of August after 27 years at the company.

“Pam’s passion and determination meant that Beacon’s books and authors were always championed with energy, creativity, and unwavering commitment, no matter how challenging the media landscape became,” associate publisher Sanj Kharbanda said in a release. “She always gave more than 100 percent, inspiring those around her to do the same. I am grateful to Pam for being a wonderful mentor, a trusted guide, and for helping me become a better publishing colleague. Her impact will be felt for years to come.”

Sabrina Papas has been promoted to associate publicist, working with Appetite, Knopf Canada, and Penguin Canada authors.

Taylor Rice has been promoted to associate publicist, working with Doubleday Canada, Random House Canada, and McClelland & Stewart.

Angela Baggetta joins as publisher, effective September 8. She most recently ran Angela Baggetta Communications, a full-service literary publicity firm specializing in public relations campaigns for non-fiction books.

Terry Borzumato-Greenberg has joined as vice president, school and library marketing. Most recently, she served as vice president at Holiday House.
