Michael Goldsmith will join as vp, executive director of publicity on October 13, reporting to president and publisher Sally Kim. He was previously at Doubleday and Pantheon.

Nivia Evans has joined as an executive editor, reporting to vp, editorial director Monique Patterson and acquiring across all imprints. Evans was previously at Saga Press.

Simon & Schuster   

Maya Sze has joined the special markets department as assistant manager on the mail order team. She was previously at Greentech Renewables.

Storyteller Talent Agency   

Emily Thorpe joins as a literary agent. She is also an educator and librarian.

Book Industry Study Group   

BISG has renamed its Industry Champion Award in honor of former executive director Brian O’Leary.

Mary Higgins Clark Estate   

Mary Higgins Clark’s literary estate is now repped by Independent Artist Group, Literate Management, and Curtis Brown. Deadline writes that “the companies will seek opportunities for the late author’s published and unpublished works across film, television, publishing, and all media and entertainment” with estate representative Elizabeth Higgins Clark as executive producer across all projects.
