CEO Daniel Ek will transition to the role of executive chairman starting January 1, 2026.

Gustav Söderström and Alex Norström become co-CEOs. Söderström is currently co-president and chief product and technology officer, and Norström is co-president and chief business officer. They will report to Ek and serve on the board of directors.

Saga Press   

Amara Hoshijo has been promoted to executive editor.

Caroline Tew has been promoted to assistant editor.

Karintha Parker has been promoted to publicist.

Crown   

Lori Kusatzky has been promoted to editor.

Austin Parks has been promoted to assistant editor.

Penguin Random House Audio   

Brisa Robinson has been promoted to assistant director of publicity.

Knopf   

Micah Kelsey is promoted to associate publicist.

Union Square   

Lisa McDowell joins as a production manager. She was previously at Macmillan.

Salky Literary Management/Charlotte Sheedy Literary Agency   

Kristin Ostby joins as literary agent and director of the children’s division of both agencies, based in New York. Kristin represents picture book author/illustrators, middle grade and young adult fiction and non-fiction, and select adult fiction and nonfiction. She was previously at Greenhouse Literary Agency.

Kevin Anderson & Associates   

Sarah Grill has joined as project manager. She was previously senior editor at Atria and Emily Bestler Books.

Kin & Co. Literary Scouting   

The company has been appointed the US scouting partner for FairyLoot, covering the Wayward TxF imprint as well as their subscription box service.

Simon & Schuster   

Ricki Blaustein has been promoted to demand planning analyst in Simon & Schuster’s Adult Demand Planning department.

Chooseco   

Jessica Yang has joined as editor. She was previously at Quirk Books.
