Perseus Refines Distribution Offerings Following their purchase of distributor Consortium in August, the Perseus Books Group has moved quickly to realign its distribution services companywide. Like the founders of the Perseus-owned CDS, Consortium CEO Don Linn “has made the decision to leave the company… to pursue other interests” as of January 1, according to an announcement issued yesterday afternoon. Banta Sells — to Donnelly Banta has found a solution to the persistent, unwanted takeover bids from Cinveo: They’ve agreed to a $1.3 billion sale to Donnelly instead. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of next year. Banta’s revenues are approximately $1.5 billion, and the sale price is $100 million higher than Cinveo’s bid.
