Samantha Edelson has been promoted to marketing manager for Macmillan Audio.

Mobifusion has hired Michelle Lewy as director of publisher accounts, based in New York. Most recently, she was director of digital media services at Baker and Taylor.

At Simon & Schuster Children’s, Siena Koncsol has been promoted to publicist.

Longtime Reed Exhibitions executive with oversight for BEA, svp Courtney Muller has resigned from her position. BEA show director Steve Rosato notes that Reed had realigned show responsibilities in August and put BEA under the supervision of Greg Topalian, a former BEA show director. Rosato now reports to Topalian. He writes: “On a personal note, I will miss working with Courtney for her brilliant business acumen as well as the passion she had for BEA, which was always near and dear to her…. BEA is fortunate that Greg has that same passion as the former show director he is also extremely familiar with the strengths and needs of BEA, also bringing in a wealth of experience from the Pop events he oversees as well.”

The 2014 World Book Night US titles were announced Wednesday night, for nationwide giveaway on April 23, 2014. The complete list of titles is here at Bookateria. They are accepting applications for “givers” until January 5.

The Target Book Club November pick is Tara Conklin‘s THE HOUSE GIRL.

Simon & Schuster Children’s reportedly plans a new sci-fi, fantasy and horror imprint for “YA and above.” Justin Chanda will be publisher, and the company has hired Joe Monti from the Barry Goldblatt Literary Agency as executive editor, with Navah Wolfe moving over to work as editor for the new line. They aim to publish 12 to 15 hardcovers a year starting in spring 2015, though the imprint may launch a few titles in the prior season.

Rebecca Stead is the first American winner of the Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize, for LIAR AND SPY.

Effective January 1, 2014, IPG will distribute 13 additional publishers, including Madison Press Books, Inhabit Media, Vinologue, NNK Press, Smart Guide Publications, Luminis Books, Urim Publications, The Puzzleworks, Caramel Tree Readers, Castle Rock Research, Dream Big Toy Company, Jolly Fish Press and Monsieur Notebook.
