Duggan to Set Up Line At Crown

May 15, 2014By Michael Cader

Longtime HarperCollins executive editor Tim Duggan will move to Crown on June 9 where he will serve as publisher of his own Tim Duggan Books imprint. He will publish 8 to 10 titles a year, “evenly split between nonfiction and fiction,” reporting to Molly Stern.

Duggan says: “I’m thrilled to be joining the ultra-talented team at Crown, and I can’t wait to get started on building and shaping a brand new list of books that puts an emphasis on discovering bold new voices and aiming for the highest standard of storytelling across a range of genres.”

Stern writes to staff: “An exceptional editor known for his conviction and wide-ranging interests, Tim has built productive, trusting relationships with authors across a vast spectrum, ranging from investigative journalists and short-story writers to historians, and statesmen. He has long been admired throughout our industry as a great and collaborative publishing partner. Booksellers all over the country take notice of the books that emerge from Tim’s roster, and they have come to expect works of lasting value that garner serious critical acclaim and media attention, and that often become required reading for a great number of book buyers.”
