Eric Myers has joined Dystel & Goderich Literary Management as an agent. Previously he was an agent at the Spieler Agency and will bring his client list with him to DGLM.

Kathleen Quinlan has joined DK as assistant marketing manager. She was most recently events and marketing specialist at Media Source Inc. In addition, Kell Wilson has been promoted to marketing manager, licensing and children’s.

Meghan Houser has joined Crown as assistant editor. Previously she was an editorial assistant at Knopf. In addition, Claire Potter has also been promoted to assistant editor.

Bookselling
Though membership rolls for the American Booksellers Association have recorded steady if modest gains over the past five years, the UK’s Booksellers Association continues to lose members. Their ranks fell by 48 in 2014, the Bookseller reports, to 939 members. The BA’s membership dropped below 1,000 for the first time in 2013.

Obituary
Poet and Nobel Laureate in 2011 Tomas Transtromer, 83, died March 26 after a brief illness.
