Anna Stein will join ICM as an agent on December 1, based in the New York office. She has been an agent at Aitken Alexander for the past six years, opening and running their New York office. Stein’s client list includes Hanya Yanagihara, Ben Lerner, Laird Hunt, and Maria Semple. ICMco-head of publications Sloan Harris said in the announcement: “As her clients’ success with readers and literary awards demonstrates, Anna is a tastemaker and a terrific advocate for authors.” Stein added: “It is a true privilege to join such a warm, dynamic and talented group of agents.”

Canada’s Giller Prize was awarded to Andre Alexis for his novel Fifteen Dogs (Coach House). The winner of the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize earlier in the month, Alexis will receive $100,000 (CA).
New Imprints
Gwyneth Paltrow is extending her lifestyle brand to include a new publishing line, goop press, which operate as an imprint of Grand Central Life & Style. Acquisitions and “editorial decisions” will be “made by a team of goop editors,” along GCL&S editorial director Karen Murgolo. The launch title, slated for April 2016, is Paltrow’s cookbook It’s All Easy: Delicious Weekday Recipes for the Super-Busy Home Cook, a goop-branded beauty book in the fall and more titles to come. “With so much incredible content now being produced at goop.com on a daily basis, we’re excited to memorialize it for audiences across the world,” Paltrow said in a statement.
