Awards
PEN America announced award winners in several categories, among them Matthew Desmond‘s Evicted for their nonfiction prize and Luke Dittrich‘s Patient H.M. taking the literary science writing award. More winners, including the PEN/Bingham Prize for Debut Fiction and the PEN/Nabokov Award, will be announced at an awards ceremony on March 27.

Bookselling
Schoenhof’s Foreign Books in Cambridge, MA — which calls itself the country’s “oldest and largest foreign language-only bookstore” — will close their physical store on March 25 after 161 years in business. General director Daniel Eastman said in a release that they were being “driven out of the [Harvard] Square by the high rents,” and will invest the savings in rent on building out “an amazing website.”
