Instituting A Winter Editors Buzz Panel: Seven Great Editors and Authors, and More

January 5, 2021By Michael Cader

After a great inaugural virtual Buzz Panel last May (and a Romance Buzz Panel over the summer), we are excited to add a Winter Editors Buzz Panel to our schedule, ahead of the now-virtual Winter Institute. We are proud to be joined by the American Booksellers Association as co-presenter of the event, with ABA board member and co-owner of Solid State Books in Washington, DC Jake Cumsky-Whitlock serving as moderator.

The panel convenes Wednesday, January 27 at 7 PM EST. You can register starting now — and the first 50 booksellers who register will get a package of printed galleys for the featured titles! And all of the featured titles boast IndieBound pre-order links as well.

Later this month, ahead of the panel, we’ll release the next packed edition of our digital sampler, Buzz Books 2021: Spring/Summer, with substantial excerpts from all of the featured titles along with dozens of other breakout new titles on the way. Also joining us as co-hosts are authors Roz Chast and Patricia Marx. The Winter Editors Buzz Panel will feature these terrific authors and editors in conversation about their buzz-worthy forthcoming titles:

Flynn Berry NORTHERN SPY (Viking). Edited by Lindsey Schwoeri
Kaitlyn Greenidge LIBERTIE (Algonquin). Edited by Kathy Pories
Gabriela Garcia OF WOMEN AND SALT (Flatiron Books). Edited by Megan Lynch
Miranda Cowley Heller THE PAPER PALACE (Riverhead). Edited by Sarah McGrath
Honorée Fanonne Jeffers THE LOVE SONGS OF W.E.B. DU BOIS (Harper). Edited by Erin Wicks
Carolyn Ferrell DEAR MISS METROPOLITAN (Holt). Edited by Retha Powers
Erin French FINDING FREEDOM (Celadon). Edited by Deb Futter

Feel free to spread the word among your communities, and we hope you enjoy the show. Save your seat here for the Winter Editors Buzz Panel!
