She will write a sequel to her memoir A Journal for Jordan that S&S plans to publish in 2024. Toronto writer Rebecca Eckler is launching RE:books, a new imprint focused on female voices across all genres that aims to make reading “less snobby.” Eckler has a newsletter of the same name with 35,000 subscribers. The imprint will launch with seven titles, which will not be bound by a traditional release schedule. Eckler said, “I’m just going to release books when they’re … ready. And whenever I want to. Private Equity Giant EQT Takes Major Stake In UTA
Swedish-based private equity firm EQT has become a large “strategic investor” in UTA, as the largest outside shareholder in the firm. They are buying out investment firm Investcorp’s full minority stake, and are also acquiring a “portion of existing stakes” from others shareholders including PSP Investments. In 2018, Investcorp and PSP Investments bought approximately 40 percent of the agency, for an estimated $200 million.
