Nicholas Ciani has been promoted to editor at One Signal/Atria.

Sarah Rubio is joining WaterBrook and Multnomah as executive editor, reporting to Laura Barker and spearheading acquisitions for the children’s list. Most recently she was senior editor for children’s and young adult titles at Tyndale House. Bunmi Ishola also joins the company as editor, reporting to Rubio. She has worked at Kidsbooks Publishing and Sourcebooks Kids.

Crystal Orazu has joined Context Literary Agency as a junior agent. Previously, she worked at the Rick and Susan Sontag Center for Collaborative Creativity at Pomona College.

Britt Siess is no longer with Martin Literary Management.

Kari Lynn Dell, 57, author of the Texas Rodeo romance series (Sourcebooks Casablanca), died August 14 after a battle with cancer. Her editor Mary Altman writes, “Kari’s extraordinary resolve and dedication to writing were remarkable, as was her impressive will to write incredible books while quietly doing what she had to do to treat this terrible disease… It brings us comfort to know we can always crack open the covers of her novels and hear her inimitable voice again.”

Forthcoming
Rhonda Byrne‘s THE GREATEST SECRET will be published by Harper One on November 24, continuing her publishing relationship with Judith Curr. Harper acquired world rights and will publish around the world in English at the same time, with translations to follow “across all HarperCollins locations worldwide.”

Imprints
Histria Books has launched a Histria Kids imprint, “dedicated to books that serve to educate and entertain children and young adults.” The first title is Powerfully Perplexing Presidential Profiles by Rod Martinez.

Distribution
Appalachian Trail Conservancy‘s books and map are now being distributed by Mountaineers Books in Seattle.
