Simon & Schuster is the second book publisher to join the pointlessly threatened with prior restraint by President Trump club. On Monday Trump’s attorney Charles Harder, writing on behalf of Donald J. Trump for President, Inc, sent a letter to Gallery Books about Omarosa Manigault-Newman’s book UNHINGED, which was released on Tuesday. He claimed the book “violates several provisions of Ms. Manigault-Newman’s written agreement with the company,” including a non-disparagement clause and a confidentiality clause. Ingram Publisher Services will distribute science fiction and fantasy publisher Grim Oak Press. Bookselling Tara Goldberg-DeLeo and Kristy Bodnar have purchased the Mystery Lovers Bookshop in Oakmont, PA near Pittsburgh.
