The longlist for the Booker Prize was announced Wednesday morning, and as last year, the list includes titles by five American authors: NBCC winner The Sellout by Paul Beatty (FSG/Oneworld), Hystopia by David Means (FSG/Faber), Eileen by Otessa Moshfegh (Penguin Press/Jonathan Cape), Work Like Any Other by Virginia Reeves (Scribner/Scribner UK), and My Name Is Lucy Barton by Elizabeth Strout (Random House/Viking UK.)
