Ingram Content Group has bolstered their executive ranks following the departure of ceo Skip Prichard, who was replaced in that post by John Ingram. Shawn Morin has been promoted to chief operating officer, effective immediately, in charge of managing the company’s commercial activities (including the divisions that serve publishers, libraries, booksellers and educators), systems, and operations. He joined the company in 2009 as chief information officer, after serving as CIO at Bass Pro Shops. Finance, legal and human resources will continue to report to Mr. Ingram. Derek Krissoff has been named the new editor in chief for the University of Nebraska Press, effective July 16. He has been a senior acquisitions editor at the University of Georgia Press since 2006. John W. Warren has joined Georgetown University Press as marketing and sales director. He has spent the past twelve years as marketing director of RAND Corporation’s publications department. Hachette Book Group’s Orbit division is adding a new imprint for commercial fiction, Redhook. Launching in April 2013 with Robert Lyndon’s historical epic set in the 11th century HAWK QUEST, they plan to start with one or two titles a month. The imprint will publish in all formats, including some digital-only titles. Orbit svp and publisher Tim Holman says in the announcement, “Redhook will help us grow the division and broaden our business and consumer relationships.
