Random House’s distribution unit announced a new marketing service that provides their clients with “a range of robust tools for pursuing online marketing opportunities.” Manager, digital and paperback marketing at Crown Jay Sones will move to RH Publisher Services, where he will be senior online marketing manager, in charge of the new program. The AAP announced that Barnes & Noble chairman Len Riggio will deliver a speech at their annual meeting, which returns to New York, scheduled for March 9, 2011. In personnel news, Alexis Washam has joined Crown Trade Paperbacks as a senior editor, reporting to Tina Pohlman. She was an editor at Penguin. President and publisher Gina Centrello writes that “her decision will bring to a close one of the most remarkable and accomplished careers, as a publicist, publicity director, and corporate spokeswoman, in our company, as well as in our industry.
