Cassandra Clare‘s lawyer, John Cahill of Cahill Associates, issued a statement Thursday afternoon responding to Sherrilyn Kenyon’s trademark and copyright infringment lawsuit filed against Clare late last week. “Cassie was both surprised and disappointed that Ms. Kenyon would file this baseless lawsuit, a decade after the debut of Cassie’s books. Nielsen Book has launched PubTrack Digital UK, an ebook sales tracking service based on the same model that they use in the US. A set of unspecified publishers contribute their own ebook sales data, on a monthly basis, with a three-month delay. Nielsen says “we are not currently releasing the names of participating publishers. Flatiron Books will publish Oprah Winfrey’s forthcoming memoir THE LIFE YOU WANT in January 2017, the lead title in Winfrey’s as-yet-unnamed book imprint, expected to include several non-fiction titles per year chosen personally by Oprah.
