On November 26, St. Martin’s will publish FREEDOM, a memoir by Angela Merkel, the first woman chancellor of Germany. They will publish simultaneously with sister companies Kiepenheuer & Witsch (Germany) and Pan Macmillan (UK), and the book will release in “many other countries around the world.” The book, in which she “reflects on her life in two German states—35 years in the German Democratic Republic, 35 years in reunited Germany,” is co-written with Beate Baumann, Merkel’s longtime advisor.

Forthcoming: H.R. McMaster’s White House Memoir
Harper will publish AT WAR WITH OURSELVES by H.R. McMaster on August 27. The book chronicles the former national security advisor’s 13 months in the Trump administration, laying out, according to the publisher, “the good, the bad, and the ugly of Trump’s presidency.”

Forthcoming: Andrew Clements’ THE FRINDLE FILES
On August 27, Random House Children’s Books will publish THE FRINDLE FILES, a sequel to Andrew Clements‘ 1996 book FRINDLE (published by Atheneum). According to a release, Clements finished the manuscript before his death in 2019. SVP & publisher, Random House Brands and Graphic Michelle Nagler acquired world rights from Amy Berkower at Writers House.
