Simon & Schuster will publish HOW TO NOT DIE IN PRISON, the debut book from Taylor Sheridan, the creator of  creator, writer, director, and executive producer of series including Yellowstone, Landman, Mayor of Kingstown, and 1883, on June 23. The book is cowritten with Tom Nelson, who spent 17 years in maximum and medium security prisons. Stuart Roberts acquired NA rights from Anthony Mattero at CAA. St. Martin’s Press will publish a memoir by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, GO AND DO LIKEWISE: HOW WE HEAL A BROKEN COUNTRY on September 22. The book will focus on “what his own faith has meant to him, how it has informed his family and his public life,” writes the publisher.

Riverhead will publish Hernan Diaz‘s next novel, PLY, on September 29, the AP reports. The book is “a futuristic thriller in which a young orphan survives by stealing electricity from the grid and selling it on the black market.” “After rewriting America’s past with his two previous novels, Hernan Diaz now gives us a glimpse into the future,” Riverhead said in a statement. “‘Ply’ questions the place of technology in the American experiment with a plot that grabs both heart and mind.”

On October 6, Grand Central will publish actor Michael Douglas‘s memoir, the AP reports.
