Woody Allen‘s memoir APROPOS OF NOTHING will be published on April 7 by Grand Central. The AP calls the book “once thought unpublishable,” since last May the NYT had reported that at least four major houses passed on the book. Ben Sevier acquired world rights last March, prior to the NYT story, and the publisher has sold translation rights in multiple territories. Former Holt chairman Stephen Rubin has joined Simon & Schuster as a consulting publisher, reporting to Jonathan Karp. Rubin will acquire fiction and nonfiction for all of the company’s adult publishing imprints. The London Book Fair, due to convene starting March 10, has acknowledged concerns and inquiries about international travel in the wake of the coronavirus/Covid-19 outbreak.
