Indigo Exceeds $1 Billion In Sales, Returns to Profitability

Indigo reported fourth quarter and full-year results on Friday for the period ended April 2. They closed the year with their best fourth quarter sales ever, which lifted full-year sales to $1.06 billion – a new all-time high, and the first time above $1 billion since 2019 (when sales were $1.05 billion). Fourth quarter sales were CA$221 million, up 10.9 percent from $199 million during the same period last year, driven by “strong omnichannel sales” and “improved pricing strategies.” The net loss for the quarter was $23.4 million, $16.1 million less than last year. Bookselling: New Ownership For Elliott Bay Book Company

Elliott Bay Book Company in Seattle has been sold to Tracy Taylor, the general manager of 32 years, as well as married couple Murf Hall and Joey Burgess, who own bars and businesses in the neighborhood. The sale was finalized on June 1.
